As a family of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, we were 72 meters below the ground at the tunnel ending ceremony of the Istanbul Gayrettepe-Airport Metro line a week ago. Today, we are signing a new success with you at a height of 318 meters. This project is one of the most important steps for the future of Turkey's transportation infrastructure. The Çanakkale Bridge of 1915 is more than a bridge that connects the two sides, it is almost a respect for our history. 2023 Çanakkale Bridge, referring to the centennial of our republic in 1915, will be the world leader in its class with its middle span of 2 thousand 23 meters when its construction is completed. In addition, Çanakkale Bridge, which will have the highest tower in the world, represents the Çanakkale Naval Victory on March 318, 3, with a height of 18 meters, referring to the 18th of the 1915rd month. ”

The density of cargo and passengers on our highways increases day by day. In this context, our divided road length, which we have increased from 6 thousand 101 kilometers to 27 thousand kilometers, has removed this constantly increasing load and passenger transportation density. While our country was a corridor country on the east-west axis until today, today it has become the logistic base to which three continents are connected on the south-north axis. This position will be further strengthened with our 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and Malkara-Çanakkale Highway projects. ” used expressions.

It will be a new alternative to the Bosphorus crossing for the road traffic that will turn to Europe and Thrace, west of the Aegean and Central Anatolia, Adana-Konya axis and the Western Mediterranean Regions. With our highway that will be 101 kilometers, the current state road will be shortened by about 40 kilometers. Time and fuel savings will be 567 million liras annually. We are continuing our works by taking social measures, hygiene and regular health checks by taking all our precautions against the epidemic of Kovid-19, which affects the whole world. As in our over a thousand construction sites across the country, we act according to the principle of 'health first, human first' in the works here. Thanks to the precautions we have taken despite the pandemic process, work continues at our construction sites without interruption. We work hard to improve Turkey's transport network. We prepare our country for the future with the strength we receive from our nation. We bear the responsibility of realizing what is called impossible, making pride for our country, and exemplary projects for the world. With this responsibility, we believe that we will accomplish many good works hand in hand with our state and nation. ”
