Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan stated that the companies included their membership in e-commerce sites, participation in virtual trade delegations and virtual fairs, and organizing virtual fairs.

The President's Decision on Supporting Digital Activities at Market Entry was published in the Official Gazette. Minister Pekcan shared the details of the decision on his Twitter account. Noting that the practice of doing business with the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) pandemic has changed radically, Pekcan emphasized that they have developed a new support mechanism that will encourage digital activities for export in this period when digitalization gained importance. Pointing out the importance of the decision, Pekcan gave the following information:

“By decision, we include the membership of our companies to e-commerce sites, participation in virtual commerce committees and virtual fairs, and organizing virtual fairs. Within this framework, we will support membership expenses for e-commerce sites by 2020 percent for 80 and 60 percent for the following years in order to encourage our companies to e-export. The costs to be made by the roof organizations representing our business world for virtual trade delegations and participation in virtual fairs and the expenses of virtual fair organizations will be supported by 50 percent. As the Ministry, we will continue to ensure that our companies make the best use of digitization processes in line with the new trade dynamics and support the activities to enter foreign markets. ”

Support Ceilings range from 8 lira to 100 thousand dollars

Official Gazette decision by the President, the expenses related to digital Support activities for companies operating in the industrial or commercial cooperation to market entry and marketing organizations in Turkey and aimed to meet the Price Stabilization Fund.

The expenses related to the membership of the e-commerce sites, which have the conditions set out in the circular and approved by the Ministry, will be supported by 60 percent and up to 8 thousand lira per e-commerce site. Companies will be able to benefit from this support for up to 3 e-commerce sites and up to two years per e-commerce site. The support rate will be 80 percent this year.

Expenses related to virtual commerce delegation activities organized by cooperation organizations under the coordination of the ministry will be supported up to 50 percent and 50 thousand dollars per activity.

In order to enable participants to participate in virtual fairs with international qualifications approved by the General Directorate of Export, the participation in virtual fairs organized by cooperation organizations will be supported by supporting the expenses stated in the circular up to 50 percent and 50 thousand per activity.

In addition, 50 percent of support will be provided for up to 100 thousand dollars per activity for the expenses stated in the circular on virtual fair organizations organized by cooperation organizations.
