According to the news shared by China International Radio via mail, an official from the German Ministry of Transport told the public that they want to carry 20 tons of masks and 40 tons of protective materials per week for hospitals, elderly nursing homes and all treatment institutions in addition to the existing airway bridge. Ministry officials told the Bild am Sonntag newspaper that the initiative could be called a kind of "Eurasian Railway Bridge".
These trains will depart from China every week and arrive at Kaliningrad in Russia via Kazakhstan. From there, the material to be loaded onto the ship will reach the port of Rostock in Germany via the North Sea. The total duration of the trip is planned to be 12 days.
