Number of People Using Public Transport in Mersin Decreased by 50 Percent

The statistical information compiled by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Transportation Department from the city buses shows that Mersin residents mostly comply with the call "stay at home". According to statistics, both the number of passengers between the ages of 60 and 65 and the overall number of passengers are reduced by half.

Between March 9 and March 12, municipal buses in Mersin carried 476 thousand 273 passengers. Between March 16 and March 19, the number of those traveling by city buses decreased to 212 thousand 245 people.

It can be seen from the city bus statistics that the number of passengers between the ages of 60-65 decreases day by day due to the calls of "Stay at Home". On March 16, 60 passengers from the 65-2 age group used city buses. This number fell to 815 people on March 17, to 1783 people on March 18, to 1691 on March 19.
