Alstom Turkey, celebrated Women's Day with Haydarpasa Vocational and Technical High School female students. The students visited the Alstom office within the scope of the technical training cooperation protocol, signed between the parties on December 12, 2019, aiming to bring the students into the rail systems sector by specializing them.

Within the scope of the cooperation, on 11 February 2020, “Rail Systems and Career Development” training was given by the Alstom Engineering and Human Resources teams on the campus of Haydarpaşa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School. On February 14, 2020, a team of 12 students from the 25th Grade of Rail Systems Electricity Department visited Alstom Istanbul Signaling Laboratory and received technical training from Alstom staff who are experts in their field. In addition, students received “CV Preparation and Interview Techniques” training from the Human Resources team. Finally, on February 24, 2020, 7 teachers from the Rail Systems Department attended the training specially organized for Haydarpaşa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School teachers, and innovations that steered the industry, including Alstom's current technologies, were discussed.

Alstom Turkey General Manager Mr. Arban Çitak said, “Contributing to the education of our youth means contributing to the development of the sector. In this context, we attach great importance to ensuring that all of our young people, especially girls, stand on their own feet and take their place in the business world. Our wish is to see all our young people as career-equipped, strong business people in the future. ” said.

For this reason, all tendering, project management, design, procurement, engineering and maintenance services for signaling and system projects in the Middle East and Africa region are carried out from Istanbul. Haydarpaşa Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, which started education in 1897 in the historical building built by Abdülhamit Han in order to accommodate the workers working in Haydarpaşa station in 1959, currently provides education services to 44 students with 9 teachers in 14 areas of land. The school also has a machine park equipped with technological equipment. With the Rail Systems Program established in 263, technical personnel are trained for the sector. Graduates of TCDD, they work in Turkey's leading institutions in the transport sector, such as Metro Istanbul.
