Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has been on alert due to the coronavirus outbreak. Disinfection and cleaning works are carried out 7/24 at every point in the city. Cleaning teams, public transportation vehicles, minibuses and taxis are also disinfected on a daily basis, from the Shelter House to animal shelters, from public institutions to the high judiciary, from common areas to the buildings of non-governmental organizations.
In order to protect public health, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is fighting 7/24 effectively against the danger of coranavirus epidemic throughout the city.
Following the establishment of the Crisis Management Center upon the order of the Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavas, a meeting was also made with the representatives of the district municipalities under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary General Mustafa Kemal Çokakoğlu.
CASE EVALUATION WITH DISTRICT MUNICIPALITIES
While the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality increased the measures and measures taken within the scope of combating coronavirus (COVID-19) danger, a process evaluation meeting was held with representatives of district municipalities at the meeting held under the chairmanship of the Deputy Secretary General, Mustafa Kemal Çokakoğlu.
Speaking at the meeting attended by representatives of the Metropolitan Municipality and Çankaya, Elmadağ, Etimesgut, Keçiören, Polatlı and Yenimahalle Municipalities, Çokakoğlu said, “Our cleaning activities in the common areas by the Metropolitan cleaning teams continue uninterruptedly. Taxis and minibuses are disinfected every day, especially metro, ANKARAY and buses. These cleaning works are inspected daily by our Police Teams. We continue to spray public buildings and common areas meticulously. ”
CAN FRIENDS ARE NOT FORGOTTEN
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality started to work on disinfection in animal shelters.
Stating that they do double the cleaning work in animal shelters apart from routine cleaning, Seyfettin Aslan, Head of Health Affairs Department, made the following evaluations:
“In line with the instructions of our Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, we took intense measures from the first day of coranavirus. In Ankara, we have carried the cleaning and disinfection processes to the highest level in our zoo and shelters affiliated to our presidency. We have 2 shelters and 1 zoo and 35 veterinarians. We do our best to protect the health of our animals, we do all their controls. ”
EVERYDAY DISINFECTION IN TAXI AND FILLED
In line with the instructions of the Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, disinfection works on taxi and minibuses, which are among the public transportation vehicles serving in the capital, continue daily under the control of the Police Department teams.

Disinfection studies continue on the minibuses day and night. Thanks to these cleaning works, customers are comfortable. I would like to thank Mansur Chairman for protecting us. ” Mehmet Tüzer, who works as a minibus driver, said, “I would like to thank Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which gives service to us in terms of spraying and gives importance to the safety of employees and passengers. We seriously care about this issue because we carry our children, youth, elderly, mothers and fathers in our vehicles. Fortunately, we have a municipality, we have a good Mansur President. ”
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Station Taxi Station President Hamza Kara stated that a large number of passengers came from the train station and said, “It was very important to make disinfectants due to the coronavirus outbreak. The taxi drivers who carry passengers every day expressed their opinions about disinfection studies in Ankara as follows:
Resul Yılmaz: “I am a taxi driver. I would like to thank our Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş for this disinfection service. I wish this to be an example to all municipalities of the concept of municipalities in Turkey. They are coming, they are spraying our stop and vehicles. ”
-Ramazan Koca: “We would like to thank Ankara Metropolitan Municipality and our Mayor Mansur Yavaş for this service. They have been helping us here since the early hours of the morning. We thank you as a taxi driver for this service. ”
WORK FROM HIGH JUDICIARY TO PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS
The cleaning teams, which continue their disinfection works in the public transportation vehicles and metro stations of the Metropolitan Municipality, disinfect the buildings of public institutions and organizations and non-governmental organizations by scheduling.
The teams, which carry out meticulous work in the high judicial buildings throughout the city, especially in the Constitutional Court, and their campuses, also carry out disinfection work in the service buildings of the Metropolitan Municipality, which the citizens use extensively.
Putting the measures that prioritize the health of the municipal staff and the citizens one by one, the Metropolitan Municipality distributes the food on the floors where the employees are located instead of the dining hall after the transition to the food system. In line with the principle of social distance, the Metropolitan Municipality, which warned its staff and put fire meters on the city entrances, placed disinfectant products on the elevator entrances.
