According to this agreement, ASELSAN will produce critical equipment in the production of National Train.

National Electric Train Sets Will Be Completed This Year
It was learned that ASELSAN will support the National Electric Train Set, which was completed by the design and production works of TÜVASAŞ after the announcement of the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan, who stated that the prototype of the National Electric Train Sets will be completed on the rails this year. Within the scope of the new agreement, it has been learned that ASELSAN's National Electric Train Sets will produce the engine and electronic components locally. Speaking about the project, Cemal Yaman, President of the Railroad-Business Union Branch, said: “Within the scope of public investments in 2020, 45 Electric Train Sets will be produced by the General Directorate of TÜVASAŞ. This is a huge investment for us and it is important for the future of TÜVASAŞ. TÜVASAŞ continues to design the first National and Domestic Electric Train Sets and is preparing to manufacture Milli Tren with local facilities. The National Train manufactured in TÜVASAŞ is designed with an aluminum body and aims to be the first in this feature. The 160-vehicle set with a speed of 5 km / h with high comfort features is designed in accordance with the intercity travel.
