60 New Buses Added to Eskişehir Transportation Fleet

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, which will increase the tram network to 51 kilometers when the works are completed by making a big investment in urban transportation, has strengthened its transportation fleet by buying 60 new buses. Stating that buses are taken in order to minimize the problems in public transportation and increase the number of trips on busy lines, Mayor Büyükerşen stated that new buses will make a great contribution to accessible, comfortable, quality, comfortable and most importantly safe urban transportation.

Metropolitan Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen, who visited the Public Transport Branch Directorate to examine the new buses, stated that the newly purchased buses will be used primarily on the lines where the citizens receive complaints. Büyükerşen said, “Our city is expanding in every area and our population is increasing. In parallel, our needs are increasing. For this reason, we had to provide vehicle support to our bus fleet, which plays an important role in urban transportation. The delivery of 2019 vehicles, which were tendered after being approved at our parliament meeting in October 60, started to be delivered. We are putting our vehicles, whose traffic registration processes are completed, into service without waiting. ”

Expressing that the priority will be given to the lines where Private Public Buses begin to be drawn, Mayor Büyükerşen said, “Private Public Buses are being pulled from one line with increasing costs. As of today, our 50 vehicles will have entered the lines in all of the lines that are needed, especially our lines with fewer routes. The delivery of our 10 vehicles will be completed in 1-2 days and we will be rolling out next week. Our female bus drivers, with whom we get positive returns from our citizens, will also serve. I believe that these vehicles, which came into service, will satisfy our needs to a certain extent, and I wish them good luck to our city. ” said.

Expressing that they attach great importance to accessibility in transportation, the Metropolitan Municipality officials stated that the vehicles are environmentally friendly and will serve with a capacity of 103 passengers. Authorities said, “Our vehicles were chosen as vehicles that our disabled citizens can easily use with their low base and portable ramps. Our vehicles, which have a diesel engine in Euro-6 standard, both provide comfort to our passengers with their internal and external equipment, and offer a safe travel opportunity. ”
