In the state of Sonora in northwest Mexico, the level train crossed the train 20 meters after it hit the bus carrying the Mexican Red Cross workers. In a statement made by the prosecutor's office, 7 people were killed and 32 people were injured on the bus as a result of the accident. There were five men, one woman and a 16-year-old girl between the ages of 30 and 16 years. The survivor bus driver was arrested for drug and alcohol testing.
32 people injured in the accident were being treated in the hospital in Ciudad Obregon.
