Transport and Infrastructure Minister M. Cahit Turhan announced that the High Speed Train line project, which will reduce Ankara and Sivas to 2 hours, will be completed in early summer.
The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, M. Cahit Turhan, who went to Kırıkkale to make visits, first examined the high-speed train line in Kırıkkale. Receiving information about the YHT line works from the authorities, Turhan stated that the construction of the YHT line, which will reduce the 440-kilometer Ankara-Sivas road to 2 hours, is ongoing.

Stating that YHTs benefit not only from the provinces where the line is laid, but also the surrounding provinces, Turhan said: “Today, in our country, approximately 40 million people in the triangle of Ankara, Istanbul and Konya benefit from this service. In the beginning of summer, if there is no glitch, we will connect Ankara to Sivas by high-speed train. In a vast hinterland living in this region and around this route, not only the provinces where this route passes, but the surrounding provinces around it will benefit from this service. ''

Emphasizing that the Ankara-Sivas YHT Project will bring high-speed train comfort to the provinces in the east of Ankara, Turhan said: “This project will be connected to Kayseri. It will extend over the Konya line to Mersin, Gaziantep and Diyarbakır. Again, it will reach Samsun via Delice. These are projects that will bring significant convenience to our country's lives and ensure rapid development of our underdeveloped regions with rapid transportation. "
