The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has informed the airlines that Sabiha Gökçen Airport will not be permitted for additional flights.

THY had taken its domestic flights from Sabiha Gökçen in the past few days and transferred its international flights to Anadolujet. Thus, many flights of Turkish Airlines have passed to Istanbul Airport. Citizens will be directed to Istanbul Airport with no additional permission.
The General Directorate of Civil Aviation, affiliated to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, announced that Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport would not be granted additional flight permits, citing its capacity.
Some citizens have preferred Sabiha Gökçen more frequently in the last year due to the difficulty of transportation to the Third Airport. On the other hand, Turkish Airlines decided to withdraw domestic flights from Sabiha Gökçen.
