The proposal, which was discussed in the Law, Public Relations, Women, Family and Children Commissions in the majority of the AK Party, was accepted unanimously by putting an annotation "with the approval of the Court of Accounts".

In the report of the commission, “The proposal was examined by our commissions; The issue of giving free transportation card to the mothers of children aged 4 and under and meeting the losses incurred by the public transportation institutions receiving free services in accordance with Article 5393/75-a of Law No. 1 from the municipal budget has been deemed appropriate ”.

The proposal, which was transferred to the relevant commission in November and accepted as of yesterday, aims to involve mothers in social life, to encourage public transport and, most importantly, to contribute to the family economy. It is aimed that the mothers of approximately 4 million 1 thousand children aged 160 and under in Istanbul will benefit from this right.

The proposal, which first came to the agenda in May, was discussed at the IMM Assembly on May 15, 2019, when Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya was acting as the deputy of IMM. With the joint report prepared by the law, tariff, plan and budget commissions, where the AK Party members are in the majority, the proposal was not found appropriate. In the report, it was stated that legal regulations should be made for the free travel in question, and he was unanimously sent to the presidency on May 15, 2019.

The proposal was again presented to the IMM Assembly agenda on November 11, 2019, and was referred to the commission for discussion.
