TÜRSİD Vehicle Operation Commission, which aims to share operational experience related to the rapid solution of technical and passenger problems in rail systems, which are of great importance in public transportation, convened in Samsun this time. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality SAMULAS Inc. hosted the meeting held in a hotel, commission system officials from the commissioner Istanbul, Ankara, Kayseri, Izmir, Bursa, Kocaeli and Konya metropolitan municipalities attended.
The latest situation in the enterprises of the institutions, the problems in the rail system and the bus company, the factors that negatively affect the citizen satisfaction, the analysis of the accidents and the security applications, the merging of the lines in the Ankara subway and the new applications, the transition of Metro Istanbul to the 24-hour operation, EU investment Grants research, preparation of subway and light rail system lines by adding the signaling systems to the knowledge bank were discussed. At the meeting where the developments in the rail system sector were evaluated, information and experience were exchanged on issues such as problems encountered during operation and common solutions, presentations were made on new projects prepared for the solution of problems.
Attending the commission meeting, SAMULAŞ General Manager Enver Sedat Tamgacı expressed his satisfaction with hosting as the SAMULAŞ, noting the importance of the work of TÜRSİD commissions. Tamgacı said, “We are very pleased that the rail system operators hold the vehicle commission meeting in Samsun. We should hold these meetings frequently and increase the sharing of knowledge and experience. As SAMULAŞ, we are currently establishing an effective, efficient and success-oriented new corporate system in order to offer our citizens higher quality travel opportunities. As in every city with a rail system, we have some problems in Samsun. We are making our business plan revisions and preparing our projects to overcome these problems and increase passenger satisfaction. ”
