Doğan Energy CEO Burak Kuyan was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Energy Trade Association, which has played an important role in the creation of a free market since its establishment.
Doğan Energy CEO Burak Kuyan was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the new term as a result of the 2019 Ordinary General Assembly held at the Energy Trade Association. Mr. Kuyan has served as the CEO of Doğan Energy for three years. General Manager Tamer Çalışır.
Speaking at the General Assembly, Kuyan emphasized that in order to put the energy trade market in the direction of redevelopment, they emphasize the importance of participation of all members in the new period and aim to spend a more effective period together. In addition, he added that they would increase their interest in all commodity markets, not only electricity but also in the energy trade, by expanding the scope of ETD and they would work to improve the number and diversity of its members.
Graduating from Istanbul University, Faculty of Business Administration in 1998, Kuyan completed his MBA program at Virginia Tech University and his PhD in Business Administration and Finance at Işık University. Following his graduation, Mr. Kuyan worked as an Individual Portfolio Manager at Finans Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş., and in 2002, he joined Doğan Holding as an Assistant Strategic Planning and Business Development Specialist. He was appointed as the Doğan Energy Director in 2005. He has been the CEO of Doğan Energy since 2012.
