Emergency Training in Tunnels

In cooperation with Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and Ordu Tunnel Maintenance and Operation Chief, traffic accident, vehicle fire, rescue and so on. In order to ensure coordination and increase cooperation, the training and exercise program was implemented.

Ordu Tunnel Maintenance Operation Chief and Fire Department Department Intervention Branch Directorate Altınordu and Fatsa Firefighters group chiefs; for more effective and rapid response in case of fire and traffic accidents in tunnels and possible negative situations that may occur in tunnels and highways; tube-to-tube transition points, in-tunnel emergency warning and intervention points, highway changing points, tunnel infrastructure and fire cabinets were introduced. Following the training, personnel were shown application areas in highways and tunnels.

COOPERATION WILL PROVIDE EFFECTIVE AND FAST INTERVENTION
It is stated that the training and drill program will be carried out in two stages in order to ensure faster and more effective response to possible negativities in all the tunnels and highways in Ordu and to increase communication and coordination between the two institutions.

According to the explanations: In order to provide effective and rapid intervention in cooperation, the first step will be to inform the personnel working in our fire department group chiefs of our Fire Department Department about the tunnels and highways by Ordu Tunnel Maintenance and Operation Chief. In the second stage, fire prevention and extinguishing techniques and drill program for the personnel of Ordu Tunnel Maintenance Operation Chief will be carried out by OBİTEM, which is affiliated to our Fire Department. The cooperation and coordination between the two institutions should be considered as an important step towards both rapid and effective response to events and service to our citizens and our efforts will continue increasingly in this context. ”
