Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues to work to bring comfort to the city transport. Akçaray tram line, which won the satisfaction of the citizens, will be extended to the Kuruçeşme region by the Municipality of Mevlana to be implemented by the Mevlana Underpass has begun. The subway will be built under the Mevlana Junction on the Izmit D - 100 Highway.
REMOVAL OF RAILINGS STARTED
Within the scope of the Mevlana Underpass, the railings on the connection road of the section where the tram line will pass have begun to be dismantled. As part of the project, excavation works for the new road will be started and soil improvement works will be continued to extend the existing tram line to Mevlana Underpass.
18 METERS LONG
In the works to be realized at Mevlana Junction, the existing underpass will be demolished and a new underpass 18 meter length 6 meter height and 9 half meter width will be built. In the new underpass, 895 cubic meters of ready-mixed concrete, 90 tons of ribbed reinforcing steel, thousand square meters of parquet, 2 thousand 500 meter curb, 6 thousand 100 tons of asphalt and 500 meter auto railing will be manufactured.
ARRANGEMENTS TO BE MADE IN MEVLANA JUNCTION
Within the scope of the tram line to be reached from the schools area to the Beach Road, the passage will be provided to Kuruçeşme in front of Kocaeli Gümüşhaneliler Foundation via D - 100 Highway. Within the scope of the underpass works, various arrangements will be made in the branches of D - 100, side road and Mevlana Junction.
