In Samsun, Mechanical Engineers Kemal Yusuf Tosun and Kadir Öney cost the 'Remote Controlled Tractor', which has a value of 475 thousand Euros in Europe, 350 thousand lira locally and nationally, upon the request of Metro Istanbul AŞ affiliated to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Engineers developed the Electric Maneuvering Vehicle 12 (EMA 150) entirely locally, including software, after 150 months of R&D.
The vehicle, which was tried on the trams in SAMULAŞ of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, passed the test successfully. The remote control EMA 150 will be used within Metro Istanbul AŞ to pull the failing trams.
'WE ARE ONE-DOMESTIC MANUFACTURER'
They used parts, software and explained that all equipment is manufactured in Turkey by Turkish engineers Mechanical Engineer Tosun, EMA stressed that 150 local and national car. Stating that the vehicle is 5-speed, Tosun said, “It can gradually reach 30 kilometers. This means we're the only domestic manufacturer in Turkey, we are proud for him.
