Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that approximately 2 thousand 500 taxi drivers working in Istanbul Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Historical Peninsula and Sultanahmet region will be given 'behavior and tourism training'. Ersoy said, “Taxi drivers will be trained in 13 different branches. Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Istanbul Governor and Deputy Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Ali Yerlikaya visited Istanbul Airport Taxi Dealers Cooperative. During the visit, Cooperative President Fahrettin Can, İGA Airport Operations Chief Executive Officer and General Manager Kadri Samsunlu, Istanbul Airport Civil Administration Supervisor Ahmet Önal and some guests were also present.
Minister Ersoy said that they have stated that they have made a change in tourism and that they will focus on qualified tourists as well as quantitative tourists and therefore qualified personnel and service are required. Noting that qualified personnel and service can be realized by training, Ersoy said, “One of every three tourists coming to the country is entering from Istanbul. Most of them also use Istanbul Airport. We chose Istanbul Airport as the pilot training for taxi drivers. ”
A NEW SCREEN SYSTEM IS INSTALLED FOR TAXI
Explaining that they first brought a new screen system to taxis, Ersoy said, “It will not be done as a training alone. In the first place, a new display system is connected to the taxi drivers in parallel with the examples in the world. A new application, a new application. The Minister of Culture and Tourism Ersoy noted that they had negotiated with İGA to increase the number of classrooms and speed up the trainings, adding that the project involving the training of 2 taxi drivers will be developed. EL TOURISM AMBASSADOR ”CERTIFICATE FOR TRAINERS
