Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is preparing to implement its action plan for noise pollution, which is one of the most important problems, in order to protect the health of the citizens living in the city and to improve the quality of life.
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and TUBITAK Marmara Research Center conducted by the "Antalya Province Noise Action Plan Preparation Project" has come to an end. With the implementation of the Noise Action Plan, which was completed in approximately 20 months, it is aimed to reduce the environmental noise and improve the quality of life of the people of Antalya.
HIGH VOLUME ARE DETERMINED
Environmental noise management and evaluation within the scope of the Regulation prepared by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality prior to the action plan noise noise areas in the city were identified. Strategic Noise Map was created as a result of the examination made by experts in regions where noise sources gathered under the headings of highway, entertainment place, light rail system and airport. During the coordination meetings organized with the participation of related public institutions, technical and scientific solutions to the noise problem were discussed.
SURVEYS WERE HELD IN 5 DISTRICT
Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Department of Environmental Health within the scope of the studies carried out by Aksu, Dosemealti, Kepez, Konyaalti and Muratpasa districts were surveyed. The roadmap to solve the problem of noise in the short, medium and long term was determined with the questionnaires containing the solution suggestions related to the noise pollution experienced. Studies on the applicability of the Noise Action Plan, which was prepared with the aim of increasing the quality of life of the citizens living in Antalya, preventing health problems caused by noise and forming the ground of a happy city, are ongoing on the subject of Antalya.
