The Waste Battery Collection Campaign, which is carried out with the Environment Week under the leadership of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and turns into an exciting race between schools every year, started with colorful images. IZELMAN Kindergarten students called for a clean world with dance and music performances.

The excitement started in the 'Waste Battery Collection' campaign organized by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in cooperation with the Portable Battery Manufacturers and Importers Association (TAP) and the district municipalities, where a new record was broken every year. It has been reported that environmental friends who want to participate in the campaign can throw the used batteries they collect throughout the year into the money boxes at the booth at the entrance door of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality until the evening of May 30th. Collected waste batteries will be evaluated in 8 categories as children, youth, adults, kindergartens, schools, mukhtars, district municipalities and Bizim Ev Family Child Youth Support Center. Those who collect the highest amount of waste batteries as a result of the weighing will receive their awards at a ceremony to be held at the Historical Gas Factory on June 12. Environmental friends will win awards such as notebook, tablet computer, desktop computer, table tennis table and set, sports set, chess set, smart board, printer.
