With the participation of President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, 18 March 18 Çanakkale Bridge construction site will be visited as part of the 1915 March Çanakkale Naval Victory and Martyrs Memorial Day program.
In the 101 Çanakkale Bridge project, which is located on the 1915 km of Malkara-Çanakkale Section of the Kınalı-Tekirdağ-Çanakkale-Savaştepe Motorway; steel shaft assembly will be made on the foundations of the tower caisson, which is still working in the wet pool.
Two of the steel shafts that will transfer the loads coming from the tower to the ground via the caisson foundations will be located on the European side of the bridge and two on the Asian side. Steel shafts; 23 meter height, 18 meter diameter and 526 tons weight for European side; 26 meter height, 18 meter diameter and 603 tons weight for Asian side.
