TCDD Employee Announced Reason of Train Accident in Ankara

In the high-speed train accident that took place in Ankara this morning, 9 people lost their lives and 47 were injured.

The accident was caused by the head-on collision of the high-speed train and the guide train, while the two trains were collided.

On the official website of TCDD, guide trains are defined as "train operated as a passenger without any passengers before the first commercial expedition, as an additional safety and security measure."

While the guide train controlling the line was the subject of discussion on the line when the flights started, according to the first information obtained by soL from TCDD, the cause of the accident is due to the problem experienced in the signaling system.
