On the 10th day of the İZBAN strike, which started on 16 December in Izmir, the employer contacted the worker. Explaining that the minimum wage was adjusted for the hike rate, İZBAN management announced that its last offer was 26 percent. Huseyin Ervuz, the head of the Railroad-Is Izmir Branch, who discussed the 26 percent wage hike proposed to the employees of IZBAN, explained that the staff did not accept the offer presented to them, and said he continued the strike.

The people of Izmir, whose journeys have been tormented, imply that they carry them in some way and that we can do the strike as much as we want. As of now, we continue our strike. The resisting winner will be our striking fellow workers. Hopefully our demands will be met. After finding a response, we will start to run our trains with pleasure. ”
