İZBAN (İzmir Suburban System) flights in İzmir completely stopped. There was a strike in İZBAN for 15 days, but additional expeditions were made. In the lawsuit filed by the Demiryol-İş İzmir Branch accusing the ongoing strike in İZBAN and demanding the suspension of additional train services, the judge ordered that the passenger trips be stopped completely with a precautionary decision.

İZBAN had decided to strike on 10 December. Together with the Railways, İZBAN flights were carried out in partnership with the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. However, they could not agree on the hike rate in their collective bargaining, so a strike was decided 15 days ago. However, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has started to make additional flights in suburban transportation.

Saying that the security guards lowered the shutters in İZBAN, Habertürk reporter Ayçe stated that the citizens reacted due to the intensity experienced with the working hours. While one of the citizens stated that the workers should agree as soon as possible, the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is trying to prevent the citizens from experiencing problems by adding additional trips to the municipal bus services due to the stop of İZBAN.
