The exercise held at Çambaşı Winter Sports and Ski Center, built on 2 decares of Çambaşı Plateau at Ordu's 650 thousand altitude, did not find its truth. In the exercise conducted by Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Search and Rescue Teams, the person trapped in the 25-meter-high cabin was rescued by the teams in accordance with the scenario.
The exercise supported by AFAD Provincial Directorate teams was viewed from the air with a drone. The exercise was followed by a number of citizens and personnel affiliated with Orbel.
Speaking to the journalists about the exercise, the Metropolitan Mayor Engin Tekintaş thanked the teams that successfully carried out the drill that did not match the truth. Noting that the ski season started slowly in the region, Mayor Tekintaş said, “As mentioned before, our ski center is ready with everything. He prepares all the machinery and equipment at the facility in a way to provide service. ”
EXERCISE SUCCESSFULLY SUCCESSFUL
Mayor Engin Tekintaş said, “In case of a power cut in the region or other reasons, we carried out an exercise with our municipal teams and AFAD teams to rescue ski-lovers in the chairlift. Thankfully, the exercise was successful," he said. Noting that there were deficiencies in the exercise, Mayor Tekintaş said, “The teams saw how they would act in case of being stranded and determined them on the spot. In this respect, the exercise was very useful," he said.
