Within the scope of the giant Istanbul Izmir Highway Project, which will shorten the distance between Istanbul and Izmir and reduce it to 3.5 hours, new sections are also being put into service. It was decided to open to traffic for Balıkesir Edremit Junction, İzmir Section Saruhanlı Junction, Kemalpaşa Junction and Kemalpaşa Junction - Karasuluk Junction, the construction of which was completed.

The Ministry gave approval for the opening of the new stage within the scope of the Gebze Orhangazi İzmir (Including İzmit Bay Crossing Bridge and Connection Roads) Motorway project, which will reduce the time between Istanbul and İzmir, which is one of the important highway projects in Turkey, to 3.5 hours. Istanbul Izmir Highway, which has been fully opened with the newly opened 192 km section, will make Izmir a very popular city during the weekend thanks to fast transportation.

2. Entry and exit to the Motorway is prohibited except in certain locations (Bridge Junctions, Toll Collection Stations, etc.) and conditions. 3. Access to this section, which is opened to traffic as a controlled highway, pedestrians, animals, motorized vehicles, rubber wheeled tractors, construction machinery and bicyclists are prohibited from entering.
4. The minimum required speed is 40 km / h and the maximum speed is the limits allowed by geometric standards. (Max. 120 km./hr)
5. It is forbidden to stop, park, return and go back in this section and intersections which are opened to traffic as Accessible Highway. In obligatory cases, the right-most safety band (Bank) can be used.
6. If the establishments that have a façade of the motorway want to put identification plates in their buildings, they should obtain permission from the General Directorate of Highways and the Company in charge.
7. Passing vehicles carrying dangerous and chemical substances through the Belkahve Tunnel between Saruhanlı Junction and Karasuluk Junction (Km: 339 + 603,31 - 408 + 654,59) is prohibited.
