Before the 9-day Eid-Al-Adha holiday, it was announced that additional wagons would be put on the trips in order to prevent the citizens from being victimized due to excessive density on the İzmir (Basmane) -Söke-Denizli railway line. Thus, the seat capacity of Söke trains was increased from 136 to 204 with additional wagons.
Making a statement on the subject, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Economic Enterprises and Deputy of Aydın, Mustafa Savaş, said, “We contacted our Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure due to the intense demand on the Söke-Denizli-Söke route and asked for the removal of this problem in passenger capacity. After the negotiations, 136 additional rail bus was added to our regional motor trains with a capacity of 1 seats operated by the Rail Bus. Now passenger capacity has been maximized, reaching 204 people. Implementation started on Friday, August 17 at 06:30 am. I wish our citizens to be good. ”
