Mersin Metropolitan Municipality is continuing the construction of the road which will provide Mersin Intercity Bus Terminal (MEŞOT) with the aim of relieving the traffic of Mersin city. Mersin Metropolitan Municipality, Directorate of Road Construction Maintenance and Repair teams started to work on hot asphalt road which will provide connection between 520 meter length MEŞOT and O - 51 highway. 98 percent of the road is completed after the opening of the intercity buses and other vehicles departing from MEŞOT'dan intercity traffic will be able to transit.

Within the scope of the connection road, 18 meter length, 9 meter width and 5 meter height two-hole culvert is being made, while the construction of 7 meter length retaining wall in lengths ranging from 2 meters to 362 meters continues. 23 thousand cubic meters of infrastructure filling and superstructure working materials will be used in the construction of the road.
Following the completion of the road that has the feature of the closest highway connection to Mersin City Hospital and MEŞOT, health vehicles and intercity buses will be able to enter and exit the city without disrupting the city traffic.
