Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality is working on making pedestrian access to pedestrian bridges on D-100 more efficient. There is an 20 pedestrian overpass on the 45 pedestrian crossing which serves under the Department of Science Affairs in Kocaeli. On the D-100 route, the monthly routine and quarterly heavy maintenance of the elevators and escalators, which are used for the easy removal of pedestrian bridges, is carried out periodically.
OPEN TO EVERYONE
The 20 pedestrian overpass, which is built by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, has a total of 45 elevators serving under the supervision and control of the Department of Energy, Lighting and Mechanical Affairs of the Department of Science Affairs. The elevators, which were previously only accessible to disabled and elderly people, are now open to all our people using 7 / 24. Passengers who want to reach public transport stops by way of the upper pass can get up and down by using elevator and escalators.
PERIODIC CARE
On the D-100 route, maintenance, repair and control of the elevators and escalators used in order to provide easy access to pedestrian bridges for citizens descending from public transportation is carried out by authorized companies on monthly periods. In case of failure and recovery, 7 / 24 service is provided to our citizens. In addition, maintenance, repair, failure and rescue services of the main service building of the Metropolitan Municipality, the service buildings in the external units, the cultural centers and all other service areas are carried out within this scope.
