Xnumx Million Tourists are Expected a Year to Camlica Tower

Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan stated that the physical progress of Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower is currently at the level of 75 percent. said.

Arslan, who examined the construction of the Çamlıca TV-Radio Tower, gave information to reporters about the project.

Reminding that the tower was built on the Küçük Çamlıca Hill, one of the highest points in Istanbul, Arslan said, “With this tower we will build, we will save Istanbul from the visual pollution created by the towers. In addition to that, we will gain a work that will add value to Istanbul's silhouette. ” he spoke.

Stating that the quality of the TV and radio broadcasts will increase after the Tower's operation, Arslan said:

“Our physical progress in terms of construction is now at 75 percent. The tower was launched at 218 meters above sea level, where we are located, and consists of 369 meters underground, 18 meters underground, totaling 387 meters.

In addition to the construction area of approximately 10 thousand square meters, we will have established an area of 20 thousand 30 square meters on the area including the tower and the landscape area around the tower, in addition to the construction area of 150 thousand square meters. Our tower consists of 4 floors, 49 floors underground and we will have panoramic elevators on both sides of the tower. These elevators will also have a speed of 2,5 to 3 meters per second. We have shared with you before, there will be viewing terraces on 2 floors of our tower. One of them is on the 33rd floor and the other is on the 34th floor. We will have two view terraces at 148,5 meters above ground and 153 meters above ground level. ”

“Our guests will have the chance to eat with the view of Istanbul”

Ahmet Arslan stated that the viewing terraces in the tower will welcome local and foreign tourists who visit Istanbul. “Visitors will be able to observe Istanbul from the viewing terraces. We will also have two restaurants on the 39th and 40th floors at our 175,5 and 180 meters. Here, our guests will have the chance to eat with the view of Istanbul. ” he spoke.

Thanks to the panoramic elevators, guests can go up and down and 180 will be able to watch the historical peninsula, Black Sea and Istanbul at 45-wide angles throughout the meter.

“We aim to host 4,5 million guests annually only through the restaurant and viewing terrace in the tower. As you know, there are many projects in the world that are exemplary in that sense. People can make touristic trips only to see them and they can see the city from above. We expect to host a significant number of guests both in terms of domestic tourism and foreign tourism. ”

“Fine workmanship and works will be over this year, I hope”

Arslan, the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, gave information about the technical details of the project and said that the parts constructed and assembled below were removed.

Arslan, who stated that the work has slowed down due to the high wind speed in winter, said:

“I would like to express with pleasure that the tower is now completely under construction and all 387 meters are finished. Now we do the outer dressing. Starting from the top while making the outer cladding, the ring-shaped construction that is currently wrapped around the tower consists of 4 floors. We will make these 4 floors as K1 blocks, and we will move it all up, to the top, and as we mount it on the hill, there are steel plates on our current concrete blocks. When we move this construction up, we will assemble it to those steel plates and then move on to the next block. It is a K3 block consisting of 2 floors. We will also make it like a bracelet around the tower below and pull it up and install it on the K1 block.

Then again, the K4 block consisting of 3 floors… When we finally call the K4 block and the 5-storey block above, we will complete that image that provides the perimeter of our tower. Then, fine workmanship and works will end this year, I hope. Our goal is to finish the whole of this year and serve our radios and televisions from here, by removing other antennas and getting rid of visual pollution. ”

"You have no chance to say" Let's do many jobs at the same time ".

Ahmet Arslan stated that the project has a challenging structure and said, “It is a really difficult construction. A job that requires patience, step by step progress. You cannot go to the next stage without finishing a job. So we have no chance to say 'Let's do many things at the same time'. So we do it patiently and with care. Because we are building a structure that will serve Istanbul for at least a century. Therefore, we do not take any risks. We have no luxury to overlook anything. We really do it carefully and I hope we will have put it into service this year. ” spoke in the form.

Stating that their goal is to switch to digital broadcasting as a country, Arslan said, “Studies on digital broadcasting continue. When we go into digital broadcasting, we will be able to gather all the TV and radio transmitters in Çamlıca here and serve them all. I would especially like to emphasize this. ” said.
