Kabataş- End of Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey Metro Construction Approach

Under construction Kabataş-Beşiktaş-Mecidiyeköy-Kağıthane-Mahmutbey Metro Line's bridges in Kağıthane Station were completed and concrete was poured in the last basement.

KabataşWhile the works on the -Beşiktaş-Mecidiyeköy-Kağıthane-Mahmutbey Metro Line continue at full speed, an important step was passed with the completion of the concrete manufacturing of the bridges at the Kağıthane Station.

In the ongoing process, the new process includes laying of rails, station construction, mechanical activities and test driving stages. The line is planned to be commissioned by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in the first months of 2019.

Kağıthane Mayor Fazlı Kılıç visited the subway construction site to examine the works on site; '' The last tale will be relieved of the traffic in the Center by removing the piers below the bridges in the near future with the pouring of concrete. Total 24,5 kilometers and 19 stations Kabataş- Beşiktaş -Mecidiyeköy-Kağıthane-Mahmutbey Metro will connect 8 districts and carry 1 million passengers a day. Metro Line will pass through Kağıthane through Çağlayan, Merkez and Nurtepe neighborhoods. With the new transportation network, it will be possible to reach Mecidiyeköy from Kağıthane in 4,5 minutes, Beşiktaş in 10 minutes, Gaziosmanpaşa in 13 minutes and Mahmutbey in 28 minutes.
