When the High Speed ​​Train Project was transferred from General Directorate of Infrastructure to General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD), the EIA process was started from the beginning.

In the High Speed ​​​​Train Project, which has been discussed on the agenda of Antalya for many years, when the general directorates of the project change, work will be started all over again after the re-determined routes. The 640 km long Antalya-Kayseri High Speed ​​Train Project, which was initiated by the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments under the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, was transferred to the General Directorate of TCDD. In the High-Speed ​​Train Project, for which the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) positive report was received on February 25, 2014, the EIA process was started again when the route was changed to Antalya-Konya-Aksaray-Kayseri with a length of 758 km.

7 stations, 5 sidings, 56 tunnels, 56 stations, 31 sidings, 342 tunnels, within the scope of the High Speed ​​​​Train Project, which is approved by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and opened to all kinds of information about the process and opinions, questions and suggestions about the project until the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process is completed at the Provincial Directorate. It is planned to build 119 bridges, 4 viaducts, XNUMX underpasses and XNUMX overpasses. Some works completed during the General Directorate of Infrastructure will be carried out again after the determination of new routes by the General Directorate of TCDD. Following the completion of the EIA process and application projects related to the High Speed ​​Train, it is planned to be put into operation after a XNUMX-year construction period.

In the High Speed ​​​​Train EIA file, which states that the project works that will connect Antalya with Konya and Cappadocia region to Kayseri and Ankara with the Konya-Ankara High Speed ​​​​Train line, were tendered in 4 sections by the General Directorate of TCDD, the project sections are Manavgat-Seydişehir Section, Konya- Seydişehir Section, Konya-Aksaray Section, Aksaray-Kayseri Section. Considering the possible route change in the environmental impact assessment studies of the project, a 1 km corridor in total, 2 km from the right and left of the route axis, was determined as the EIA Investigation Area.
