Transportation investments in Istanbul continue unabated

Transportation investments, which will relax the augmentation of traffic and breathe into Istanbul, continue at full speed.

It is aimed to solve the traffic problem that has not been found for many years with the transportation investments in Mega City Istanbul. In this context, new projects are being implemented.

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) connects Istanbul's districts with rail systems with the metro projects launched by the slogan 'Metro to Everywhere'.

TRANSPORTATION INVESTMENTS CONTINUE CONTINUES

The traffic problem of Istanbul, which has been solved with some projects such as Marmaray, Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and metro investments in recent years, is planned to be minimized along with the ongoing metro, tram, cable car and airway lines to be constructed. The number of metro lines planned by IMM in 2019 is quite high. 2019 is expected to find 441 km in Istanbul.

There are many metro lines that are planned to be built in Istanbul. 3 also under construction. In order to facilitate access to the airport, there will be a further metro line at the 70 kilometer. The new metro lines will be integrated with Marmaray, Metrobus and other existing metro networks.

METRO PROJECTS

It is planned to be opened in 2019 and will be in 13 km length with İkitelli - Ataköy metro line project. The stations on the routes where the metro line will pass will be as follows; Yenibosna, Cobancesme, Kuyumcukent, East Industry, Mimar Sinan Street, Evren Neighborhood, Ikitelli Junction, Mehmet Akif, Bahariye, Masko and Ikitelli Industry.

Üsküdar-Ümraniye-Çekmeköy-Sancaktepe metro line, which will be in 20 kilometers, is counting the days to open. It is planned to open the Kabataş-Beşiktaş-Mecidiyeköy-Mahmutbey metro line at 22.7, which will be in 2018 kilometers. With this metro line, the transportation time will be reduced to 37 minutes. The stations on the line are as follows: Mahmutbey, Goztepe, 100 Year, Tekstilkent, Karadeniz Mah., Yeni Mahalle, Kazim Karabekir, Aksemsettin, Veysel Karani, Yesilpinar, Alibeykoy, Nurtepe, Kagithane, Caglayan Mecidiyekoy Fulya, Darphane Besiktas and Kabatas.

63,5 kilometers long Halkalı-Gebze Marmaray metro line is planned to be completed in 2018. In this way, the Anatolian side of the suburban line that was closed in 2013 will be ensured seamless integration of the European side commuter line with Marmaray. The transportation time with this subway line will fall to 115,5 minutes. The routes that the line will pass are as follows; Halkalı, Mustafa Kemal, Küçükçekmece Menekşe, Florya Yeşilköy, Yeşilyurt, Ataköy, Bakırköy, Yenimahalle, Zeytinburnu Söğütlüçeşme, Feneryolu, Göztepe, Erenköy, Suadiye, Bostancı, Küçükyalı, İdealtepe, Süreyya Beach, Maltepe, Cevizli, Ancestors, Virgo, Eagle, Dolphin, Pendik, Kaynarca, Shipyard, Guzelyali, Aydıntepe, İçmeler, Tuzla, Cayirova, Fatih, Osmangazi, Darica, Gebze.

The length of the line will be 7,4 kilometers and the other one is the project of Sabiha Gökçen Airport-Kaynarca metro line. This line will take you to the metro from the airport by 5. HAVARAY PROJECTS

The route of the line is as follows; Hasanpaşa, Ziverbey, Göztepe SGK Hospital, Göztepe SGK Polyclinics, Göztepe Junction, Soyak, Fetih Mahallesi, DSİ and Libadiye.

ATAŞEHİR-ÜMRANİYE AIRPORT LINE

Ataşehir-Ümraniye Havaray line, which is among the investment plans after 2019, will be approximately 11 km long. When it is in service, the journey time between Ataşehir and Ümraniye will be reduced to 22 minutes.

KADIKÖY-MALTEPE-KARTAL AIRCRAFT LINE

Kadıköy-Kartal-Maltepe Havaray line, which will have a length of 18 km, is among the projects planned to be put into service after 2019. This line will be between 36 and Kadıköy and Kadıköy.

MALTEPE-BASEWATER LINE

Maltepe Başıbüyük Havaray line consists of 9 station on 8 kilometer line.

There will be 18 station on the line which will reduce the time between Maltepe and Başıbüyük to 8 minutes. The route of the 9 km line is as follows; Beach, Idealtepe, Altaycesme, Aydinli Houses, Basibuyuk, Inonu, Mass Housing and Kyrenia.
