Responding to a question involving concerns about the future by showing the strikes in İZBAN and İZDENİZ as an example, President Kocaoğlu said, “In the past, we resolved collective agreements in transportation by compromising or going to the high arbitrator. Now we are trying to avoid strikes. By the way, I must say this: Unions do not dare to strike in AKP municipalities. Most of them don't have unions anyway. What happened has turned yellow like lemons. We have to save money and negotiate with the unions until the end. We already pay high wages to the worker. If they're going to strike on this, let them do it. If we are going to shoot, we will shoot together. If the nation doesn't vote, it won't. But we will not surrender! Give zoning to every person who wants zoning, give more money than he deserves to the striker, give it to him, give it to him! There is no mayorship like this! Then go home, go to bed! Mayorship is a different job, ”he said.

Saying that people coming to the city center should focus on public transportation, Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Aziz Kocaoğlu said, “For this, we need to encourage our people to public transportation first. The construction work and lots of pros and cons on this route are now puzzling everyone. However, Tram will be the salvation of İzmir, Konak and Alsancak. We will live and see together. The tram coincides with the traffic only in a section of Şair Eşref Boulevard and Cumhuriyet Boulevard. In other places, he goes the way he sees himself. Poet Eşref was already working one lane due to the pirate parking lot. Along with the tram, 1.5 lanes will run and cannot be parked. We will see how the traffic will be relieved with the departure of the buses on the route. Konak Tram will be finished on New Year's Eve. Our citizens will get on from Üçkuyular and go to Halkapınar comfortably ”. Mayor Kocaoğlu also added that they examined the tram operation in important centers of Europe on site before making a decision on the tram investment.

Speaking about traffic congestion, Mayor Kocaoğlu said that they opened new arteries, but traffic control is a must. Kocaoğlu said, “Hatay Street is the most important artery of İzmir. Go see, there are three rows of parking on this street right now. Nobody has the right to this. Nobody has the right to have it done. Those responsible for managing the traffic should do what is necessary, ”he said.
