RAILWAY ELZEM HAS BEEN

Speaking about the railway project that is on the agenda to be built in Trabzon, Head of Civil Engineers Mustafa Yaylalı said, “Trabzon has a history of 4 thousand years. Cultural and artistic events that are not in Europe are held here. These come from trade. Trabzon-Erzincan railway project will be a project that will add life to Trabzon. In fact, Trabzon has been struggling for years in order not to lose its port city feature where trade is focused. We are trying to connect the Trabzon port to the south. The trade route of Iran and Middle East countries passes through our city. With the rail connection, both cheaper and shorter trade flows will be provided. We will reach the level that can compete with the countries of the region, Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. In our neighboring countries that have a railway connection, shipping of goods costs less. Railway connection has become essential for competition with them, it is a must. Atatürk said he wanted to do this in Trabzon. Freight and passenger transportation are separate things. We need to connect to Erzincan for freight transportation. Trabzon is the center of this region. As Trabzon gets up, the surrounding cities will also develop. If the economy also decreases, the economy of the surrounding cities will also decrease ”.

WE ARE IN THE REGION

Attracting Trabzon to be the first in the region in exports, Eastern Black Sea Exporters Union President (DKİB) Ahmet Hamdi Gürdoğan said, “We have 1 billion 1 million Turkish lira in one year. We are the first in the cities of the region. Turkey's exports in the first sector of fresh vegetables and Trabzon. The new trade route started from the Netherlands to China, but we are not. We had problems after the Russian crisis. We went over the Caspian Sea. The ships remained there for 300-15 days when there was a wave. Nobody bought Chinese goods when Turkish goods were released in Kazakhstan. The Cossacks say do not leave us in China's hands. They want to exhibit their goods in Turkey in Kazakhstan. We need to improve our ports. It should come logistic law in Turkey. " he spoke.

NATURAL GAS AND OIL IS MOVED FROM IPEKOLU

Prof. Dr. İpekyolu emphasized on the effects of regional trade in history. Dr. Cemal Bıyık stated that, among other trade goods, it is now possible to transport energy resources such as natural gas and oil through the Silk Road, “İpekyolu is a commercial route. It contributed to the interaction of various cultures and civilizations and to the development of trade. Roads are the veins that make people spread on the earth. There were two ways to unite civilizations. It is the Silk Road and Spice road. We will stop on the Silk Road. We see Turkey on the passage of this road. It is divided into two branches in Turkey. One reaches Trabzon and the other reaches Istanbul. Under the conditions of that time, trade was done from the ship. We had determinations in Trabzon and asked old people. They said they knew as Caravan Road. We have identified 9 places in our province, which is referred by İpekyolu. İpekyolu has brought trade, science and culture to Trabzon. Silkroad is not only commodity goods, oil, natural gas today. Trabzon is not an agricultural city. It is a trade center. These roads can bring life to Trabzon again and bring vitality. İpekyolu is a heritage for us. ” said.
