Regarding the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project, which is about to be completed, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication Ahmet Arslan said, “I hope we will complete this project in a very short time, and we will make the railway from London to Beijing uninterrupted and we will increase our friendships with the friendly countries on this route. ” said.

Arslan, who came to Kars to examine the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project on site, attended the Logistics Storage Area Signing Ceremony held at the 18th Regional Directorate of Highways in Kars with the participation of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Kazakhstan officials.

Arslan, the President of the Azerbaijani Railways Administration Cavid Gurbanov, Georgia Railways President Mamuka Bakhtadze, Kazakhstan Railways President Kanat Alpispayev signed the protocol for the Logistics Storage Site.

In his speech at the signing ceremony, Minister Arslan stated that they held the signing ceremony of the Logistics Storage Area, a pillar of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project.

Emphasizing that the project is of great importance for the country's economy, Arslan said, “With this agreement, we have signed a project that will benefit from the railway sector in this region and contribute to the economy. I hope the results of this will bring benefits to our country and to neighboring countries. It will increase our cooperation. It was a sign in that sense. I am sure that this project will be the beginning of a process that will contribute to the economy of the region and its employment. " he spoke.

Arslan reminded that the project is a long-term business and that President Recep Tayip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım attach great importance to the project.

“Today a history is being written in Kars and you are witnessing this history. We may not realize this as of the moment we are in, but the fate of these places will really change with the friendships this project will create, its contributions to cultural unity, and its share of trade in the geography up to Europe and China. This was the beginning of their project. Fortunately, this project has come to the end and we will take the train today. Hopefully, by completing this project in a very short time, we will make the railroad from London to Beijing uninterrupted and we will increase our friendships with friendly countries on this route. "
