İZBAN Line Extension to Selcuk

The Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has reached the final stage in the construction of the Selçuk axis, which will extend the İZBAN line to 26 kilometers by extending another 136 kilometer. The production of 32 road overpasses and 3 underpasses completed with the investment of 4 million TL were completed. Selcuk and Health stations also have the finishing touches.

The İzmir Suburban System İZBAN line, which is the largest urban public transportation project in the history of the Republic, realized in partnership with İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD, is being extended to Selçuk after Torbalı. Previously 80 kilometer Izban line extending the 32 kilometer Torbali section of the station and highway sub-overpass construction completed by completing the opening of the Metropolitan Municipality in February, 26 kilometer Selcuk line came to the final point.

Journey to history at Selçuk Station

The bridge construction of 2 highway overpasses in Sağlık ve Belevi, which was built especially for the passage of heavy tonnage vehicles in areas that were used as level crossings on the existing line, was completed and opened to vehicle traffic. The highway overpass bridge construction work in Çaybaşı is finished. 2 highway culvert transitions between Sağlık and Belevi have been completed. 2 highway culvert crossings between Belevi and Selçuk have been completed.

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality has invested 32 million pounds excluding expropriation fees for Selçuk İZBAN line.

According to the protocol signed by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality with TCDD, station constructions and highway overpasses of Selcuk line were made by Metropolitan Municipality. TCDD will carry out line laying works, signaling, catenary system and protection walls.
