Baku Tbilisi Kars Railway Project: Sarıkamış Mayor Göksal Toksoy made statements about the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project.

Mayor Toksoy, said in a statement to reporters, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-after Tbilisi-Erzurum projects executed by all three countries of the third major project that rail projects, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and also said great importance for the region as well as to Georgia.

Stating that with the implementation of the project and the construction of other railway projects that support these projects, it will be possible to carry uninterrupted freight from Europe to China by rail, Toksoy said:
“Our Prime Minister, Mr. Binali Yıldırım, and our Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Ahmet Arslan are working hard day and night with technical teams to complete the project. Our Minister, Arslan, made examinations in our region in order to see the works on site and to determine at which stage.

With the opening of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars line services, a train will depart from Beijing, China, respectively, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia will enter through Turkey. The train, which will pass through Anatolia and enter Greece through Thrace, will reach the UK through the English Channel, first using the Italy and then the France line. Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) Railway Project, Turkey, vital for Georgia and Azerbaijan. We fully believe that the project will revive the historical Silk Road from China to Europe and make a great contribution in terms of employment and economy in the Kars region on its route. ”
