Poyraz stated that the breakwater and other infrastructure projects were completed with an investment of 290 million pounds, and that the company that will take the tender will undertake the ship berthing berths and superstructure investments in the backcourt.
Poyraz, who noted that the highway to be built in Çandarlı Port was planned as a continuation of the ring road between Menemen and İzmir, and that the traffic jam in the region will be eliminated thanks to the 67-kilometer highway, Poyraz announced that the railway connection will be established by adding the port to the Aliağa - Bergama and Soma railway projects.

Poyraz pointed out that there are also important port investments in the Aliağa region except the North Aegean Port.
“There are important port investments in the region, in Nemrut Bay. Petlim-APM terminals will be commissioned this year as a terminal with a capacity of 1,5 million TEU containers. This means getting 2 thousand 500 trucks into traffic a day. We will ease the traffic with the connecting roads and junctions. Our main goal is to connect Çandarlı and other ports in the Nemrut Bay, namely the Aegean Region, to China via the Kars-Tbilisi-Baku and Türkmenbaşı line and through the middle transportation corridor. We will soon realize the goal of reaching the Central Asian countries and reaching to China by facilitating the Caspian Sea passage with Ro-Ro ships as soon as possible, by completing the road connections of our Aegean ports and within the east-west corridor.
Poyraz stated that they have reached an important point in line with the studies in this direction and added that the state-industry cooperation has reached fruitful results by analyzing the needs of industrialists and port operators in the region, and that they will exhibit a good example of combined transportation by working not only on road connections but also on transfer and logistics centers.
“Investors are now seeing ahead”
