Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that despite the crisis in Europe and the war in northern and southern countries, exports have increased by 5 percent in Trabzon, the number of workplaces and employment by 44 percent in the last 21 years.

Stating that tourism is almost like the chicken laying golden eggs, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Invest once, earn for a lifetime. Trabzon travels very fast in tourism. 5 years ago 350 thousand tourists were welcomed, now this number has increased to 3 million a year. In 5 years, it has increased 9 times. It is not possible to compete with the sea and sand of Antalya, Muğla if we are stuck with summer tourism. Here, there is an advantage to spread tourism over 12 years. For example, why not Uzungöl not a ski resort? We need to have Uzungöl included in the UNESCO world cultural heritage list, ”he said.
Stating that the Eastern Black Sea is a heavenly geography, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Trabzon is the leader of the Eastern Black Sea Region. Now it should lead the way in tourism. As a region, work should be done together in tourism. Then many more tourists can be attracted and the whole region wins. Congress and cruise tourism is also very important.
