Hükümet SözcüHan Wasey, at a press conference in the state capital of Kuetta, said that the Jaffer Expres train from Kuetta to Rawalpindi city was overthrown and 13 people were killed and 150 were injured.
Stating that 25 of the injured were in serious condition, Wasey said, "It is believed that a fault in the brake was caused by the accident."
After the accident, which occurred 90 kilometers east of Kuetta, work is underway to lift the overturned wagons.
