Day trip from home to school with YHT

Traveling from home to school with YHT: High Speed Train (YHT) flights operated between Eskişehir and Ankara, Konya and Istanbul provide great convenience for university students.

Some of the students, especially those whose parents are in Ankara or Konya, set off with YHT in the morning and arrive in Eskişehir and return with the same vehicle at the end of their classes.

Rector of Anadolu University (AU) Dr. Naci Gundogan, AA correspondent, said in a statement, between Eskisehir and Ankara flights, provides a significant increase in the number of students, he said.

Noting that AU has the highest number of students from outside the province, Ankara reminded that YHT flights on the Istanbul line started in July last year, adding, “Istanbul has a great potential for students. I think a significant number of students will come from Istanbul because the development of transportation opportunities is important for students. ”

Gündoğan informed that some of the students did not stay in Eskişehir. Expressing that YHT is an important tool for these students, Gündoğan said:

“They come and go in 1,5 hours. For Istanbul, this is a little difficult at first, but if you have classes on certain days of the week for Ankara and Konya, this is a serious opportunity. I think that the increase of high speed train services will create a serious activity in the coming period. Universities in Istanbul can no longer bear the burden of students. Eskişehir will become a serious alternative for our young people who live in Istanbul and go to nearby universities to study. ”

  • “YHT made our Eskişehir become a crossroads”

Rector of Eskişehir Osmangazi University (ESOGÜ) Dr. Hasan Gönen reminded that all YHT expeditions pass through Eskişehir.

Pointing out that this is a great advantage, Gönen said, “YHT made our Eskişehir become a crossroads”.

Gönen stated that Eskişehir has now turned into a suburb of Ankara thanks to YHT and that transportation is important for students and added:

“We have students who have breakfast with their family, and who come to class and have dinner in the evening. The students of Ankara constitute the student portfolio of the university the most. We anticipate that our Eskişehir Osmangazi University will attract more students thanks to the new flights both from Istanbul and Konya. Trained and high-rated students in Ankara and Istanbul will come to our city. When students come to our medical and engineering faculty from the main units of our university with better scores, they will continue to be in the service of our country and continue to serve in better conditions. Therefore, we think that YHT will make very important contributions to our university. ”

  • Students are satisfied with YHT

Taha Yasin Gediksiz, 3rd grade student at ESOGÜ Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Finance, stated that his family lived in Ankara and noted that he had been going to Ankara by speed train for 3 years.

Explaining that he started to use high-speed train when he started school, Gediksiz said, “In Ankara, the train station is close to my home and also close to my school. I can get out of there and get home right there. I used the bus once for 3 years. I used it because I could not find a place in the train. "I use the high-speed train, which is easy to reach and the journey time is short."

Aydan Çınar, 3rd grade student at AU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics, stated that she has been studying in Eskişehir for 4 years and her family lives in Ankara.

Çınar stated that he stayed in Ankara and went to his lessons every day thanks to the high-speed train. “This transportation comfort started the year I won the university. Thanks to YHT card, I can go to my classes from Ankara without any difficulty. "I have breakfast at home and I also have the opportunity to have dinner with my family."

Ömer Dağlar, a senior student at the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of ESOGU, also explained that he lived in Istanbul and had been providing transportation by bus until last year.

Stating that he started to use YHT with Istanbul flights, Daglar said, “As Istanbul traffic is intense, the bus is not advantageous, the high-speed train is punctual. As seen in the first occupancy rate in Istanbul flights, students use the high-speed train a lot. It provides a lot of advantages especially for students coming from the Anatolian side. ”
