Providing information about road construction works, 13th Regional Director of Highways, Şenol Altıok said, “Kuşyuvası Road is a route connecting from the exit of Alanya to Hadim and then to Konya via Bozkır. This is the shortest route that can be used by those who want to come to Gazipaşa from Konya. He said, "It shortens the distance between Konya and Antalya by 50 kilometers depending on the route."
OPENING IN APRIL
Stating that there are 7 tunnels within the approximately 5 and a half kilometer route, Altıok said, “Excavation works have been completed in the tunnels of 2 thousand 700 meters. The concreting works of 3 of them are finished, the other 2 are in progress. Here, it was decided to do lighting and ventilation works together. With the completion of these procedures, we plan to open this place for transportation in April ”.
PROJECT IS ONE OF 3 ETAP
Reminding that Kuşyuvası Road is a project consisting of 3 stages, Altıok said, “In the first part, there will be 8 tunnels of 9 thousand meters in length, in the second part there will be 5 tunnels of 2 thousand 700 meters in length, and in the third part there will be 3 tunnels of 4 thousand 3 meters. . In other words, the length of 600 tunnels to be built over 65 kilometers will reach 17 and a half kilometers. Those leaving Konya will arrive on a divided road until the Hadim junction and then reach Alanya via the first class road. The project cost of the third part is 15 million TL, the first part is at least 3 million TL. The total cost of 150 kilometers is 300 million liras ”.
FROM ALANYA TO HIGHLIGHTS
Stating that besides Kuşyuvası, there are other projects that will facilitate the connections of Alanya with the plateaus, Altıok said, “There will be a big tunnel and divided road in Alacabelde and this will be our main axis. In addition, this is a route that traffic on the Konya-Gazipaşa direction will be used for direct arrival. The 65-kilometer part of this place is under the responsibility of the 13th Regional Directorate. An important part of this distance is within the borders of Antalya province. This place also includes the highlands of Alanya. "It will provide very convenient transportation for those who go from Alanya to the plateaus, as well as a connection between Konya and Alanya".
