Weekly Rail Traffic Volume Increased by 5,9 Percent in the USA: The total volume of railroad transportation in the USA increased by 31 percent compared to the same week in the previous year and reached 5,9 thousand 548 wagons. According to the data released weekly by the US Railway Association (AAR), wagon and freight transportation increased by 478 percent to 10,2, while Intermodal transportation increased by 298 percent to 568 thousand 1,1. In the same week, rail transportation in Canada increased by 249 percent to 910 thousand 20,7 wagons, while in Mexico it was determined to be 141 thousand 291 wagons with an increase of 2,9 percent. Thus, the total rail transport of North America increased by 26 percent to 122.
