Speaking to Ankara in the MORNING, Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Yahya Baş said, "After the part of Keçiören Metro up to AKM is put into service, the extension works will begin to Red Crescent." Speaking to the interest of Ayaş Tunnel, whose construction turned into a snake story, Baş said, "The high-speed train running through the Ayaş Tunnel line is a project that is in line with our 2023 goals."

PUBLISHED IN THE OFFICIAL GAZETTE
The project of connecting the Keçiören metro, which was first brought to the agenda by Sabah Ankara, to the Red Crescent via the AKM and the station was approved by the Council of Ministers convened under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. The decision regarding the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro line project approved by the Council of Ministers was also published in the Official Gazette on February 18, 2015. Accordingly, the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication will undertake the AKM-Gar-Kızılay Metro Line project of the Metropolitan Municipality.

WILL START ONE NEXT
Speaking to Ankara SABAH about the project approved by the Council of Ministers, Deputy Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Yahya Baş said, “Currently, permission has been obtained from the Council of Ministers for the AKM-Gar-Red Crescent subway. There is a link integration work between the existing Keçiören Metro and Batıkent. We are trying to make it there. After completing this, we want to put the current line into service. The Gar-Kızılay line is a separate project. We want to complete the Keçiören Metro up to the AKM and put it into service. There is already a pedestrian passenger transfer section from AKM to the station. The section with permission from the Council of Ministers will be tendered after the completion of the existing Keçiören Metro line and its construction will start ”.

AYAŞ TENDER PROCESS
“Ayaş Tunnel is a very old project,” Baş told about the Ayaş Tunnel, whose construction has turned into a snake story for years. The high-speed train to Istanbul from Ayaş Tunnel line is a project in line with our 2023 targets. This is a region in our investment plans. But when it starts I don't know. He is currently at the tender stage ”.

COMBINATION PROJECT
Stating that the AKM-Gar-Kızılay metro line, which was approved by the Council of Ministers, was designed with underground subway standards, Lütfi Elvan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, said, “The project consists of 3 kilometers and 3 stations. This project is the extension of the Keçiören - Atatürk Cultural Center Metro line, which is carried out by our Ministry, to the Red Crescent after the AKM Station. The project will integrate with YHT at the station station, with the rail system planned by the municipality at the Adliye station, with the cable car and bus main transfer station, and with the Çayyolu and Batıkent metro stations at the Kızılay station, ”he said.
