Ankara Regional Plan 2014-2023, prepared under the coordination of Ankara Development Agency, was approved by the Regional Development High Council convened under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. With this plan, the development vision and road map of Başkent was determined towards the 100th anniversary of the Republic. Ankara will take important steps in areas such as transportation, social life, industry, economy and environment in line with the plan, which will act as a compass in the capital's 2023 goals.
RAIL SYSTEM WILL RUN
In addition to Batıkent-Sincan, Çayyolu-Kızılay and Keçiören-Tandoğan metro lines, new rail system lines will be designed to meet Ankara's urban growth trends. It will become important to expand the borders of the Metropolitan Municipality to cover all provincial borders and to strengthen the transportation and public transport connections with all districts. In this context, industrial investments are expected to increase. While it is planned to give priority to projects that will strengthen the transportation connection with the center in the regions where the airport is located, the connection of the rail system that will provide Esenboğa Airport-center transportation with Akyurt and Çubuk district centers will be developed.

YHT CONNECTED
As in Polatlı, with the completion of the Ankara-Sivas YHT project, transportation between Elmadağ and Ankara center will be provided by YHT. In addition to the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line that has been put into service, suburban flights will also be organized between districts such as Sincan, Yenikent, Ayaş, Beypazarı and Çayırhan. A solution that will provide fast and reliable transportation will be developed, which will include TAI, Aviation and Space Specialized OIZ, Logistics Base and the district center within the central connection of Kazan-Ankara.
NUMBER OF FLIGHTS WILL GROW
With the motorway and High Speed ​​Train projects, with the modernization of conventional railways and the implementation of additional lines, the passenger access times of Ankara's Samsun, Istanbul, Kocaeli, Izmir, Adana, Mersin ports and metropolis will be reduced to 3 hours and transport access times to less than 5 hours. In order to strengthen Ankara's international connection, the number of cities with direct flights from Ankara to abroad will be increased. In this context, external locations with the most frequent flights from Ankara and its close vicinity to which it is connected by YHT will be determined.
BULK TRANSPORTATION
New rail system routes will be created within the plan which emphasizes the necessity of public transportation. The use of the rail system will be further increased in this way. In order to reduce the use of private vehicles, deterrent measures will be taken and certain routes such as the Red Crescent, where the city's busiest traffic is experienced, will be paid. In the new public transportation lines, the tariffs will be designed to encourage citizens.
