One More Step in İZBAN Selçuk Line

Work is underway to extend the Izmir Suburban System İZBAN line, which is the largest urban public transportation project in the history of the Republic, carried out in partnership with Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, TCDD, after Torbalı to Selçuk. The Metropolitan Municipality, which has completed the construction of two stations of the 80-kilometer Selçuk line, which has made the Torbalı section, which extends the 30-kilometer İZBAN line 26 km further, and has completed the construction of 2 stations of the 2-km Selçuk line, is now 6 highway overpasses and 15 in the Selçuk project. What's in the project?
Continuing its efforts to improve the rail system network, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality has prepared the application projects to extend the Izmir Suburban System İZBAN to Selçuk, and carried out construction tenders for the Health and Selçuk stations located on the 26 km line between Torbalı-Tepeköy and Selçuk. The tender of both stations was concluded and the contract was signed and the site was delivered. Now it is time for the tender for 2 highway overpasses and 6 culvert type highway underpasses to be built at the required points of the line.
Partnering with TCDD
According to the protocol made by the Metropolitan Municipality with TCDD, station constructions and highway overpasses will be made by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. TCDD will carry out the construction of line laying, signalization, catheter system and protection walls.
