Edirne Became a Pilot Province within the Scope of the Highways Noise Mapping Project: Edirne Municipality has started to work to minimize the noise caused by the vehicle traffic in the city center. Edirne was selected as a pilot area in the "Highways Noise Mapping Project".
In the written statement made by Edirne Municipality Directorate of Environmental Protection and Control, in the 'Highways Noise Mapping Project, which was initiated by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization in order to minimize the noise caused by vehicle traffic in the city center within the scope of European Union projects, Edirne was the pilot area. It was stated that it was selected. Gürcan Uçak and Tolga Gökbilen, from Edirne Municipality Environmental Protection and Control Directorate, attended the Strategic Noise Mapping trainings given by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization and European Union trainers within the scope of the project.
As a result of the trainings, in Edirne Talatpasa Street and Kiyik Street discussed, the streets on the streets that cause intensive noise detection studies will be done, the action plan will be removed. It was reported that the removal of the noise map and preparation of the action plan would continue until the end of 2015.
