It is noted that this amount, which is paid as the infrastructure fee, will be deducted from the vehicle tax paid every year for those living in Germany. It was stated that the vignette stamp showing that the toll was paid was not foreseen to be attached to the windshield of the vehicle, it was planned to check whether the fee was paid electronically by the license plate number as in the application in trucks. It is not yet clear how this system will technically be realized for cars. A highway toll is charged for all domestic or foreign trucks in Germany.
According to the bill, for the electric vehicles so far, those who do not pay vehicle tax will not pay this fee.
It was noted that the Federal Traffic Department in Flensburg will automatically withdraw the fee from the bank account of the residents of Germany every year and send a document to the owner of the vehicle that the fee will be issued if the license plate number is not registered.
Foreign-car owners who will use the motorways in Germany will be able to pay the toll on the internet or at the gas station according to the features of their vehicles for a period of one month. In addition, 12 for 10 for the day or two months for 10 euro fee is foreseen.
The German Ministry of Transport expects 700 million euros per year from fees for foreign-plate vehicles. After the cost of the system to be installed, 500 is estimated to be over $ 18 million. This money is planned to be used in transportation investments.
The draft was adopted last year by the pressure of the Christian Social Union Party (CSU), a small partner of the German government. The Ministry of Transport announced that the draft law fulfills the requirements of the coalition agreement, which are considered to be in line with EU law.

Stating that the German Automobile Club's 260 million-euro income makes more sense, Meyer criticized the toll of the highway and said it was not suitable for modern Europe.
