New trains of İZBAN started testing

The new trains of İZBAN have started to be tested: The tests of İZBAN's new train sets named Bay Dolphin, which was established with the partnership of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD, are continuing in İzmir.

Speed ​​tests completed since last April on the Eskişehir-Ankara High Speed ​​Train Line, the first sets are being put into operation as soon as possible to support the new transfer system that ESHOT has started to implement. For this, İZBAN cooperates with TCDD 3rd Regional Directorate and continues its test studies at night and operating hours to speed up the testing process. The first 20 sets of the Bay Dolphin, consisting of 9 wagons, of which the name was determined by the votes of 3 thousand Izmir residents, is currently being held in Izmir with the participation of İZBAN technical teams, South Korean Hyundai Rotem engineers and German experts.

The other sets will be subjected to the test process as soon as they arrive and thus the more transported passenger will be provided to the rail system. İZBAN, the first change with the commissioning of the new sets will make the number of wagons. The new sets will be put into operation with 9 wagons as much as possible, especially in the morning and evening. Thus, each set will reach approximately 2 thousand 200 passenger capacity.
